There’s no shortage of dark and ugly and dangerous corners on the Internet.
Just this week, a police investigation into online child grooming culminated in an arrest. The investigation was launched after a thirteen year old informed his parents of an online conversation which made him uncomfortable.
Predatory grooming is just one danger. Others include cyber-bullying and porn addiction. None of this is grounds to absolutely prohibit kids from using the Internet, but it certainly underlines the need for parental vigilance.
